WDCC Figment Spark of Imagination Ltd Ed 500 #4002988 New, in original condition, stored in original green WDCC box with Certificate of Authenticity from Disney, never displayed. This is the very first Figment statue issued by Disney Classics for an event at Disney World in 2005 that was limited to 500 edition and quickly sold out. It was only available to registered participants of an Epcot “One Little Spark” event and was exclusive to Disney World. Disney Classics issued several different Figment statues in various costumes from the ride each year since 2005 but this is the original one which started it all. The lovable dragon is part of the Journey into Imagination ride, one of the original pavilions at Epcot when it opened at Walt Disney World in 1982. Figment has a loyal fan following. Other than pins and souvenir products, it is rare to find high-end statues of the character. The outside box measures about 12.5” x 9.5” x 12.5” and weighs about 1.75 pounds. Walt Disney Classics Collection is releasing a Walt Disney World® Resort exclusive as part of a special signing event on Thursday, September 08, 2005. The sculpture is based on the original model sheet used in animating Figment for the Epcot® attraction. David Pacheco himself worked on animating Figment for the original animation for 'Journey into Imagination' which opened in 1983. Sculptor Bruce Lau , who sculpted the Figment piece, will be on hand for a signing appearance. This limited edition Figment sculpt will be available at the "One Little Spark...A Morning with a Purple Dragon" event happening on September 8, 2005.
