WALT DISNEY IMAGINEERING CAST EXCLUSIVE! AVAILABLE ONLY AT THE WDI EMPLOYEE STORE IN GLENDALE, CALIFORNIA! LIMITED EDITION OF 500! is a whimsical way to explain the process of creating Disney magic! The folks at WDI have created a pin set that takes you from the dreaming up of a new attraction -- also known as "blue sky," to the celebration of its opening -- known as "patio party" because that's w the Hawaiian-shirted Imagineers celebrate a job well done! Included in this auction is a ready-to-frame card that measures 5-1/2" x 15" (I am showing only part of the card because the whole thing would not fit on my scanner -- I cut off the word "Walt"). This 10-pin set is unique to WDI, and would make a wonderful addition to your personal Disney collection. In addition to the card, is the list of pins the winning bidder will receive: Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer's Apprentice (WDI's mouse-cot) -- representing "Blue Sky." Goofy drawing with his left hand and painting with his right, representing "Concept Development." Minnie Mouse -- leave it to the femail of the species to do the analytical "Feasibility" study! Peter Pan uses Tinker Bell as a model to sculpt in the "Design" phase. It's off to work for Dopey in the "Production" phase. The Mad Hatter is overseeing the "Construction" phase, holding upside-down plans of Space Mountain (hmmmm, could this mean that the popular attraction should have been built inverted all these years?) Pinocchio has the spotlight for the "Installation" phase. Donald Duck and Huey, Dewey, and Louey are going for a ride on Expedition Everest, representing the "Test & Adjust" stage. Mickey Mouse is presenting Sleeping Beauty's castle, showing off the finished product in the "Grand Opening" phase. Lilo and Stitch hula dance to celebrate a job well done during the "Patio Party!"Each pin is approx 1-1/2" tall, and all are backstamped with, "Walt Disney Imagineering / Imagineering Exclusive / Limited Edition 500 / (c)Disney / China." Come on, Imagineering fans -- you know you gotta have 'em! Joy to the World!
