As seen in the hit movie "WE ARE MARSHALL". You are purchasing a limited reproduction of an original photograph of Marshall's winning touchdown against Xavier on September 25, 1971. This photograph is very rare and the limited reproduction photograph will be numbered and limited to 200. Obviously, provenace is very important when buying a limited reproduction of an original photograph. For those of you that know Marshall University and Huntington, WV area history: From the early 1960's until it was sold in 1993 (and later burned in 1994) " Wiggins Bar-B-Que" was a diner located across the street from Old Main (on the Campus of Marshall University). Many local people believe it was this diner that appears in the movie "We Are Marshall" as "Boons". The owner of Wiggins was an avid Marshall supporter and in the late 1970's received permission from the Marshall University Athletic Department to recover various original sports photographs to be framed and hung throughout the diner, capturing memorable Marshall athletic moments. Among the photographs recovered from the Marshall archieves was a photograph of the Young Thundering Herd's first victory following the tragic plane crash that killed 75 people including the vast majority of the 1970 football team and coaching staff. After "Wiggins" closed in 1993 the owner kept many of the photographs read more
