Wedgwood plate made for Columbia University, featuring HAMILTON HALL and MAISON DE PUNK/ located at 49th Street and Madison Avenue in New York City.
This plate is approximately 10.75 inches in diameter, made of fine Wedgwood Queensware, with a border featuring the school seal and various scenes of the Columbia campus. F ully marked, including both printed and incised WEDGWOOD marks, and the date 1932. It also bears the printed signature of Nicholas Murray Butler, President of Columbia University in 1932 when the plates were issued.
EXCELLENT CONDITION -- no chips, cracks, repairs or significant scratches. There is a modest amount of surface crazing, consistent with age, mostly visible on the back.
