The Column Planter has been kept in a closed display cabinet in my home since being purchased. It has only been handled for occasional dusting. It has no cracks, chips, blemishes or repairs and is as if new. It is 6.625 inches tall and 8.875 inches in diameter at the base and 7.0 inches diameter at the top. It comes with it's original purpose made box to ensure safe shipment and will ship at around 12.0 lbs.which includes the weight of an outer box and suitable packing. The Column Planter is part of a classical collection of ten items issued by Wedgwood known as the Library Collection. All the pieces are in Black and Cane Jasperware, and are designed, as the name suggests, to enhance the appearance of the nicer rooms in the home. This planter has ample room for a potted plant and a heavy base to ensure stability. The base is tastefully decorated with a cane colored vine pattern in contrast with the black of the main body which is fluted to break the line of the surface.
