Presenting an excellent quality early circa 1800-1820 Wedgwood English stoneware molded and sprigged hunt jug. Description: This molded stoneware jug features huntsmen, dogs, horses and of course, a fox! The jug is lightly potted (a very light piece) and the relief detail is amazing as it is so crisp and well defined. T is applied sprigging of grapes in vines in cobalt blue around the rim and the interior of the jug is glazed. The jug stands just over 4 1/2 inches tall. It is marked Wedgwood in tiny all caps to the base. Condition: Excellent, no chips, cracks or blemishes. A stunning example! Please note: Due to my camera's flash, the pictures do not do this jug justice, as I'm not able to capture just how crisply modeled the jug is. The Wedgwood stamp also does not come out well in the photo because it is so tiny and the flash interferes .
