How about a rarer than rare GIANT fruit serving bowl in sought-after Runnymede-Blue? First produced in 1972 this pattern ceased production in 1998. These bowls are scarce but I am offering this one with NO RESERVE (NR.) The design features pink shells on a blue band plus floral medallions on both the inside and outside of the bowl. Blue is the most popular of the Runnymede variations available with cobalt, turquoise, brown, pink, green or cream banding. This piece has no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs to indicate it is anything other than first quality merchandise. I thought I saw a few hard-to-see cutlery marks on the inside of this bowl but I can't find them now. T are also a few specks of blue paint near the inner center medallion - what appears to be a manufacturing error although this piece is not marked a second. On the bottom you will find the black grecian urn logo and the words WEDGWOOD BONE CHINA MADE IN ENGLAND. In addition the pattern name RUNNYMEDE and number W4472 are printed underneath the trademark. The bowl is 10 " (TEN INCHES!) in diameter by 4 1/4 " tall or 25.5 cm by 10.2 cm. Rest assured I am a very careful packer, generous with bubble wrap and packing peanuts and a firm believer in strapping tape and double boxing when appropriate.
