This is a Richard Wehsener designed plate, R. Wehsener became known as "Dresdner Handpainting" and "Dresden China". R. Wehsener started his own business in 1895 in Dresden's Prager Strasse. He later moved to a studio store in Zinzendorfstrasse. The marking on the back of the plate is R. Wehsener Dersden Z. 02. The plate is in good to very good condition. As you can see from the photo's, 4 of the 8 center designs have the gold center piece missing, the gold dot in the very center of the plate is also missing and a very small colored (green) dot is visible from the firing of the plate. The plate does not contain any surface crazing/cracks.
