Hello Ebay'ers!!! Look what you found... Before I begin I would like to say PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS. I am a small time seller. I answer questions ASAP, usually within hours. Please check my feedback... All positive. Yes, appointments can be made to view items in person at my residence in central Loveland, COLORADO. This Listing's Description: Welch Cenco Scientific Physics Lab Gyroscope Apparatus for Demonstration This is a nice set of two demonstration devises or lab apparatus... However t is a small crack in the ring surrounding the spinning wheel on the gyro. Looks like ol' Eddy back in Mrs. Crumpets Physics class in the 1930's must have wound this up real fast, maybe bet Danny to stick his pencil in it, and it fell and cracked. This would be a great looking display piece but until that crack is fixed it probably shouldn't be used. The crack could be fixed by skilled hands. The crack does not detract from the looks... that's for sure. These science classroom demonstration devises are very rare. The second one I am not sure of it's function, but is a good looking piece as well. Both are included in this lot. Both carry the Welch label on the stand. The gyro portion of the gyro is marked "Cenco" for central scientific company. The gyro will receive very careful attention in the packing process. These came from a University in South West Texas... Sul Ross State University's annual surplus auction some years ago. The diameter of the wheel is 4 inches
The black ring is about 4&3/4 The whole gyro is 20 inches from the counter weight to the tip of the ring. The other appuratus with the spherical bands is about 17 inches tall. If you are at all into vintage lab and science equipment it will be well worth your time to see some of my sculptures on my web site. If you want additional pictures of this lot please send me your e-mail address. Ask Questions Please Check out my other listings... I'm parting with some of my cool antiques this week only.
