Original and in well used condition 1st year production Spanish American War era U.S. Springfield .30/40 caliber early Krag Rifle Bayonet and Scabbard. Bayonet remains bright in color, is marked on the ricasso U.S., and on the reverse dated 1894. Handles are both intact although show much wear and use, and one side has a slight crack. Bayonet catch works and functions flawlessly. Scabbard remains in decent condition, is all intact and is not dented. The hook type of early hanger assembly is all intact although has considerable wobble and swivels 360 degrees. The scabbard remains mostly grey in color with scattered pitting. If a guy needs an early 1st year production Krag bayonet and doesn't want to spend a lot of money, this would be a good bayonet to have. Absolutely 100% guaranteed to be an original.
