This is a rare arts and crafts vase in a matte green and brick red trial glaze and was made around 1915. It has vines trailing all around it along with leaves and flowers. I have only seen this glaze once in my almost 30 years of collecting Weller and it was on this same form. And even though this vase is unsigned I have this shape in a matte Flemish glaze and it's signed Weller in block letters so I know it was made by Weller. It is 5 3/4" tall by 5 1/2" wide and is in mint condition with no chips, hairlines or repairs guaranteed. (It has some the normal blurbs that all of these older pieces of Weller in these types of glazes seem to have. By that I mean that the green glaze is very matte and is not totally smooth. It was intentionally made that way.) If you are a serious Weller collector you will love this vase. Happy Bidding!
I wanted to show my other vase that is actually Kenova and not Flemish as stated in my original description. As you can see they are the same mold, and the Kenova is impressed on the base WELLER in block letters while the first one isn't marked. (For some reason Weller didn't mark a lot of their pottery.) The flat matte green and brick colored vase is a very unusual glaze and is one of the many trial glazes that Weller created. They experimented a great deal with glazes which makes finding some of these rare ones exciting and rewarding. (So that t is no mistake, you are bidding on the matte green and brick colored vase in the first two photos. Thanks.)
