This is a lovely Weller Forest Teapot that I have had in my collection for over 20 years. As my retirement approaches I am starting to downsize my collection so lately I have been selling off some of my pottery. You can observe this Weller Forest Teapot on page 169 in Huxfords book of Weller Pottery. It is shown on line 2 and number 4 on this line. The Forest Teapot is indicated to be 4.5 inches but this is the height without the lid of the teapot. If you measure from the tip of the lid to the bottom of the teapot, the height is 6.5 inches. What a lovely piece of pottery and I love this line because it is Forest. What a sharp mold and beautiful colors are seen in this teapot. T are lots of trees with green leaves and some are turning brown just like you would see in the Fall of the year. The trunks of the trees are brown as you would expect. The trees are shown as three dimensional with smaller trees in the background with light green colors. The glaze is very shiny and the handle is brown. When you look down on the lid, the handle on the lid appears to be a branch of the tree with smaller branches coming off the main branch. The lid also shows the many leaves of the tree. When you look down at the lid, it is almost like you are standing below a tree next to a trunk looking upward at the leaves. This is an excellent teapot with no read more
