Offered for auction sale is a wonderfully styled, decorated, and glazed, Floor or Table 2-Handled Vase/Urn, Juneau pattern , High Gloss Glaze, Pink with Blue drip colors, made in Ohio by Weller Pottery in the 1920's-1930's. This large and heavy shapely vase has an attractive high gloss pink glaze, with a continuous pattern of drips. The drips are in blended blues, pinks and whites, ending at each extremity with an abstract hand painted mottled pink border. The drip sequences begin at the top rim, go down the neck, and end at various heights along the vase body. A drip pattern is even included along each handle. T is a blended blue and pink horizontal border along the bottom rim. The urn-like shape, along with its tall right-angular handles give this planter an Arts and Crafts style appearance, while the bright pastel colors, high gloss glaze, and abstract pattern make this an outstanding Art Deco piece. This huge vase is 12 1/4" high, with an 4 1/2" top rim diameter, and a 4 3/4" base diameter. It is 9" wide across at the handles. It weighs 6 1/2 lbs. It is in excellent factory condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing, or repairs.
