Offered for auction is a beautiful Weller White and Decorated Hudson vase. The vase bears the Weller impressed mark on the bottom, see photos.
This actual vase can be seen in the new David Rago book, Warman's Weller Pottery, along with two other pieces that I acquired at the Rago Gallery auction on page 101, lower right corner. The vase has a lovely hexagonal shape and it is beautifully accented by nicely executed hand painted flowers around the rim. The overall condition of this vase is very good. T are very slightly raised spots on the vase, but they are barely visible, as, they are small. I tried to capture it in a photo, see below. T are two errant hazy glaze spots close together. One is blue and the smaller one, very light pink, see photo. T are very small specks on one side, see photo. All are very slight production flaws and they are very small. They in no way detract from the beauty of the piece. T are no chips, cracks or repairs. T is fine crazing, evenly over the piece, see photos. The dimensions of the vase are: 7 1/2" T x 3" W at rim. The vase is 4" at it's widest and the base is 3" in diameter. A nice addition to any Weller or pottery collection! Color can be affected by flash photography and computers in general, so please ask questions BEFORE BIDDING if you need clarification. I try to get the color or details, as accurate as, possible when taking pictures. IMPORTANT please read below: We do NOT charge a handling or packing material fee on our auctions. Shipping is based on box size, weight and destination. Shipping will be by Priority Mail UNLESS HIGH BIDDER STATES OTHERWISE. Other methods are offered. Insurance is REQUIRED on all items. Any buyer who declines insurance takes full responsibilty for items damaged during shipping. Seller will NOT be held responsible for the item once it is shipped. We do OUR VERY BEST to package for a safe delivery. We use bubblewrap, foam peanuts and at times, double boxing. Despite these efforts, on rare occassions, items may arrive damaged. Postage will require zip code for calculation of costs. Seller prefers Paypal but I do accept money orders and cashier's checks (must clear). No personal checks accepted unless agreed to by seller unless agreed to by seller. Payments must be received within seven days of the close of the auction.
