DESCRIPTION

First, I want to apologize to international bidders, but I DO NOT SHIP OUTSIDE OF THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES. If you are in ALASKA or HAWAII, ask me for the cost of shipping BEFORE YOU BID. THANK YOU. OFFERED TO U.S. BIDDERS ONLY ARE FASCINATING PIECES OF THE OLD WEST! TWO BARS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION--ONE REAL and ONE FAKE. IN THE PHOTOS, THE DARKER BAR IS THE FAKE, AND THE LIGHTER BAR HAS REAL SILVER. THE REAL SILVER BAR IS DATED 1852, WITH THE REVERSE SIDE SHOWING A U.S. EAGLE IMPRESSION, IN THE SILVER BAR, AND THE OBVERSE SIDE WITH THE FOLLOWING TEXT: "WELLS FARGO, "1852," WITH A BEAUTIFUL IMAGE OF A WELLS FARGO STAGE, WITH A TEAM OF HORSES, IN MOTION. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT CONVERTING SILVER INTO THESE SILVER INGOTS IS HOW THEY CARRIED SILVER BY WAY OF THE WELLS FARGO STAGE LINE FROM TOMBSTONE, ARIZONA, TO SAN FRANCISCO, VIRGINIA CITY, AND ALL PARTS OF THE OLD WEST. ON THE REVERSE SIDE IS THE IMAGE OF AN EAGLE.THIS SILVER BAR WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 3.9 OUNCES. IT MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 2-5/8 INCHES BY 1-1/4 INCHES, AND APPROXIMATELY 1/8 INCH THICK. THESE INGOTS USED TO BE FOUND FREQUENTLY ON eBAY, BUT NOW IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND SILVER BARS WITH THE CHARACTER OF THIS ONE. AT ONE TIME I THOUGHT THIS SILVER BAR AND OTHERS LIKE IT WERE REPLICAS, MADE WITH SOME TYPE OF HEAVY ALLOY. I DID NOT BELIEVE THAT THEY WERE TRULY MADE OF SILVER

PLEASE NOTE:

The ONLY ITEM INCLUDED in this auction is the PICTURED 1 (ONE) WELLS FARGO SILVER BAR (INGOT). All other items (SUCH AS THE KNIFE & SHEATH) are for PHOTO BACKGROUND ENHANCEMENT only and are NOT INCLUDED in this auction.

AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEE

Without exception, I provide all of the information I have on every item I sell. I also provide as many photos as possible to help prospective bidders decide whether or not to bid. I do everything possible to authenticate the items I sell, but all buyers must be aware that, due to the incredible quality and detail of modern reproductions and downright fake items, it is impossible for me to guarantee the authenticity of all of the items I sell. I do my best to protect myself when I buy and to protect my buyer when I sell, as to the authenticity of my items. HOWEVER, I will TAKE BACK any item at ANY TIME, without a time limit. If anything I sell is determined to be less than authentic, I will REFUND ALL of the buyer’s money, PLUS SHIPPING COSTS. That’s the best assurance I can offer that my items are what I believe them to be. If I’m wrong, it’s MY PROBLEM, NOT YOURS. So, if you bid, . THANK YOU. ...
