Welmar Boudoir Baby Grand Piano C.1930s Superb Welmar boudoir / baby grand piano made in London c.1930s. Excellent condition, good working order, beautiful mahogany finish, recent wax polish for deep natural shine, attractive gated legs, full iron frame, overstrung, 88 notes, tidy soundboard, original ivories - a little discoloured and some chipping commensurate with age, large ornate music rest, extended lid prop for maximum sound. Established in London, 1876, Welmar are considered to have produced some of the finest pianos ever made in Britain. Quality craftsmanship, superior materials, responsiveness of touch, beauty of finish, full round and musical tone - all characteristics of Welmar pianos. From their inception in the late 1800s and into the early 1900s, Welmar were UK distributors of the revered Bluthner piano company. Welmar pianos retained many of the key aspects of their German heritage, particularly in respect of frame design, tone and build quality.
