DON MEGOWAN Autographed B/W 8 x 10 Glossy Photo, in About Very Good condition (minor edgewear, couple tiny closed edge tears). An original 1956 Clover Production studio publicity still from his starring role in THE WEREWOLF. SIGNED (appears to be in fountain pen) by DON MEGOWAN ("Thanks - / Don Megowan"). His films included CREATION OF THE HUMANOIDS, DAVY CROCKETT KING OF THE WILD FRONTIER, THE GREAT LOCOMOTIVE CHASE, TARZAN AND THE VALLEY OF GOLD, and THE CREATURE WALKS AMONG US (his 6'7" height made him a natural as the GillMan). Sadly, he passed away in 1981. While the vast majority of the items we offer were signed for us directly, this piece is from the amazing collection of the late ROGER DUNN. A talented artist (he did some storyboard work for films and some backgrounds for CLASSICS ILLUSTRATED comic books) and a major Sherlock Holmes collector/fan writer, he worked for some time for National Screen Service, and accumulated a fantastic collection of rare books, magazines, paperbacks, original art, movie posters and stills, and traveled to meet/corresponded with a great many actors and actresses. His primary interests were in the genres of horror, adventure, science fiction, and the like.
