Howdy from Big Sky Country! Up for your consideration is this unlisted, mint condition, Wesson Oil Mayonnaise Mixing Jar from the late 1920's, early 1930's. Coming from the period of Art Deco styling influence. I find this jar amazing that in order to be functional, the only thing that could stylized on it was the handle, top, and and mixer basket, and they did just that. It is in excellent condition with sparkling clear glass and no chips, or cracks. The jars front glass is embossed with the recipe for making mayonnaise. The base of the jar is domed, and so is the matching domed mixer basket. It comes from a time in our history when markets had no premade mayonnaise, you had to make your own! It is an interesting piece of history that is still functional as well as being collectable. The recipe embossing was painted for display, and will be removed for the auction winner if they desire it. Good Luck on your bidding! Please feel free to email if you should have any questions, and I will answer to the best of my ability. Also, please check my feedback for you assurance on the quality and descriptions of my jars. Thanks for stopping by! The jars dimensions are 8 1/4 tall and 3 3/8 diameter. Overall height with the mixer handle is 12 1/2 tall.
