We are offering a fantastic plate by Wedgwood England. It's in their well-loved blue and white coloring and features a beautiful building in the center. At the top it reads "Duty Honor Country West Point MDCCCII USMA." T is an American Eagle with wings spread, and a shield with stripes and a sword too. Around the plate are various graphics including a variety of instruments including a telescope and such, a drum with rifle, musket, and horn, a case with documents and some ladies too. T are several 'panels' on the side with soldiers - one with "1823" and another with "1848." The bottom has a soldier in uniform and "1930." We do not know the signifigance of the pictures, but anyone with a West Point or military background may. The back (last photo) shows a man in uniform by a tree. It reads "On post in Camp" and below that "Third Half Hour." It reads "Washington Hall United States Military Academy West Point, New York 1933" and below that the Wedgwood mark. This plate is a treasure and we know you'll agree. No reserve has been placed on it. It is in wonderful condition - no damage, chips, etc. , measuring approx. 10-1/2' in dia. Good luck, thanks!~~26 Thank you for your interest in our item. Good Luck if you choose to bid.
