The Whitmer-Parsons Pulp and Lumber Co had locations in We st Virginia , Virginia and North Carolina. It was created in 1923 from the holdings of William Whitmer and Sons. The company went bankrupt in 1923. This 20 year $100 bond was issued on 9/1/23, the date of incorporation. William Whitmer andSons Inc dates back to 1890 when it was formed in Sunbury Pennsylvania but the origins of the company go back to the early 1850's. It was one of the oldest and largest lumber manufacturers and dealers in the east that was headquartered in Philadelphia PA.The company was incorporated in Delaware in 1923.3 fold marks.The bond folds out into a square and it is not a bond with stacked pages.No tears or pieces missing but one coupon has been cut. More research is needed to determine why the coupons were not cut before the bankruptcy occurred. Postage based upon shipping within the United States.
