YOU ARE BIDDING ON A FANTASTIC PIECE OF WESTERN AMERICANA A RARE Pawnee Bill's Wild West Show Broadside, Nicely Framed in Double Sided Glass! Two-sided newspaper poster page details the events happening at ' Pawnee Bills Wild West and Grand Mexican Hippodrom ' Show. Lists all events including Mexican senorit as, massacres, war scenes, races, fireworks, Indians, arrow shooting, I ndian phrases translated into English. Many showing illustrations of certain scenes and portraits of prominent figures, such as Left Hand, chief of the Pawnees, and Sitting Bull's daughter . 17" x 22.5". Typical aging, foxing with loss to top-center portion of poster with minor loss to margins, as shown, else fine condition. Frame has screws on one side as it had been hung previously. Pawnee Bill (1860 – 1942) , born Gordon William Lillie , was a Wild West showman and performer. Best known for his short partnership with Buffalo Bill, Pawnee Bill was born February 14, 1860, in Bloomington, Illinois. His father, Newton, operated a flour mill in Bloomington until it burned to the ground in the 1870s. The family then moved to Wellington, Kansas where Gordon developed a love for the west. By the age of 19, he was working on the Pawnee Indian agency in Indian Territory. In 1883, he was given the chance work with the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show as the Pawnee
