For your consideration, a nice Truetone Model D-2026 AM-FM "Stratoscope" radio from 1950. Truetone was Western Auto Supply's house brand, and proved a very popular and reliable brand throughout Western Auto's market area. This is a fine example of the craftsmanship and design that went into the making of this marque. The cabinet is a dark brown and appears to be made of bakelite material. T are no cracks or breaks in the cabinet, and it should buff out to a fine lustrous finish with minimal effort. After using my dim-bulb tester to determine the power transformer was still good, I plugged the radio in and was able to get some audio. However, the dial cord is broken or missing, and I could not tune any stations. This is a near-sixty-year-old piece of history that would make a nice restoration project for a collector or just a pretty decoration piece for a nostalgia buff.I accept PayPal (preferred) and U.S.P.S. money orders only.
