Offered is an antique Western Electric oak box telephone with an attached headset receiver. The oak box itself features an old fashioned speaker on its front and measures 8 inches tall, 6.5" wide and 4" deep -not counting the black Bakelite receiver. The headset is attached by a cloth covered cord that still retains it paper lable - marked "Western Electric". The Headset has a single ear piece and measures 2.5" in width. It is marked "American Tel & Tel Co. Pat in USA July 23 1918". The Phone Mouthpiece is marked with a plate that is inscribed "Western Electric 337". It has a button on the right side and you can barely read the letters - Both the phone and the ear piece are in great condition. The phone is an OD Green color, with a few flakes missing or t The hardware was not painted, nor are t any runs or drips or multiple coats of paint (thats right - just one coat of paint on the outside - varnished oak finish on inside)- so I assume this was done when the phone was new. The phone has a single sounding button to the right of the mouthpiece. All of the Bakelite components are intact, with no chips or breaks. All of the internal electronic components are intact and still wired. Phone is in phenomenal overall shape. Additional information and pictures are available on request.
