Up for bid is an authentic 1938 Western Electric Model 302 telephone. The zinc housing, handhold well and aluminum finger wheel have all been professionally sandblasted and black satin powder coated for durability and long-term wear from everyday use.. The smooth satin finish is comparable to when phone was new and compliments the handset patina as well. All base parts have the same date stamps (11/38) 5H Dial (8/43 or 8/48) operates smoothly and easily Original rubber dial gasket Original Dial Center F1 handset with newer transmitter and receiver elements Original straight rubber handset cord in excellent condition New 15' modular black line cord (plug n' play) New porcelain overlay (original procelain included with purchase) T is one damaged footpad --see photo. I guarantee this phone to be completely operational and fun to use! This particular phone is over 68 years old and has been restored to it's original functionality. The transmission quality is excellent as is the musical ringing sound. (The bells are actually tuned to a perfect third) This phones weighs about 6 1/2 lbs.
