The Western Front was a short-lived venue in San Francisco that is mostly known for its concert posters. Its grand opening in June of 1967 featured Big Brother & the Holding Company and Quicksilver Messenger Service playing on Wednesday night only, while the Charlatans, Siegel-Schwall band, and the Congress of Wonders played the entire weekend. Legendary concert, tattoo, and comics artist Greg Irons design the first poster. This original poster, measuring 14" x 20", is on uncoated paper stock similar to the 1960s Fillmore posters. There are no pinholes or tears, but shows some light handling in the top right and bottom right corners. Both of these would be undetected if framed. Otherwise, this poster is in great shape, showing vibrant colors. For co llectors seeking truly vintage posters there is no other source that can match the breadth and authenticity of the collection at Wolfgang's Vault.
