Traditional Sized Western Show Saddle and Bridle

Up for auction is this beautiful, top live show quality saddle and bridle set. This set was made by myself, Kelda Goerte. My saddles have been proven at the top levels of competition and this saddle is no exception. This saddle was just used last weekend at Lone Star Live in Fort Worth, TX, and helped earn several first place finishes in both custom and original finish performance, including first place in both CM and OF western pleasure. My intent was to keep this saddle myself and use it at NAN this year, but unfortunately my finances force its sale.

The saddle:
The saddle was built on a modified Rio Rondo tree. It has had the horn altered to a more correct pleasure style, the seat has been carved out and shaped to resemble a style more similar to the popular western pleasure saddles seen in the real showring. The gullet has also been widened and as a result, the saddle sits down nicely on the model's back, fitting more correctly and giving a more streamlined, realistic appearance.

Saddle is done in a natural light finish and sealed with an acrylic finish to prevent stains and give a beautiful shine. Fully tooled with a basketweave pattern and a geometric border. The silver is done in a matching pattern as well and features a silver covered horn and silver plates in every place they should be.

Stirrups are adjustable to accomadate doll riders. Saddle is adjustable by a latigo tie strap on the near side and a billet on the off side. The girth that is shown is not included- the girth that comes with the saddle is matching leather over black leather (looks like the neoprene girths that are often seen in the show ring- I can send a picture to anyone interested).

The bridle:
The bridle is a one ear style made of tooled leather complete with stitch markings for greater detail and interest. Flared cheeks with silver and a rolled silver ear piece. The slide buckles are silver and match the saddle silver perfectly. The bit is a Rio Rondo cast bit, and has an adjustable curb chain. The reins are made of really soft leather that drapes very nicely. They are adjusted to fit a particular horse, so if the buyer wishes I can replace them with longer reins of the same material.
T is no breastcollar included, but if the winning bidder would like, I can make a matching one to go with it.
Auction includes saddle and bridle only- horse and saddle pad are not included.
