Offered is a vintage Westmoreland Shell Compote with Dolphin Stand in pink glass. This is approximately 9 1/2" tall at its highest point and 12" long and a little over 10 1/4" wide. While t are no maker's marks, I am assuming this is Westmoreland since I have found this pattern only made by Westmoreland, although I have only seen it in milk glass, no clear or colored glass. The top of the compote is in the shape of a seashell, and t are quite a few air bubbles, one of which is open. This is on the outside of the large end of the shell. The stem, or stand, is in the shape of a dolphin and its head rests on a base in the shape of a six-sided star. This is very heavy, thick glass. T is some "scuffing" on the front of the shell, along two of the raised areas of the shell. Other than that, t are some "use" scratches you would expect to see in an item of this age. I think it is in great condition - no cracks, chips, or repairs. Very beautiful.
