Your winning bid in this auction gets you a Westmoreland #1707 Amber Stained Cut Covered Candy Jar with what Wilson in his book on page 75 cites as the "Design No 229", circa 1925-1926. This piece is in remarkably good condition with no major chips, cracks or repairs. The only thing which bears mentioning are some dings along the collar rim of the lid which surely happened during the 80+ years that this piece was taken on and off the base. The stain is in wonderful condition with few if any marks of insignificant wear. This one is a nice clean example and a wonderful addition to your collection of Westmoreland. It is offered with NO RESERVE, so have fun!
