Westmoreland Blue Milk Glass Mother Eagle & Chicks on Lacy Base Nest This week we are listing an amazing assortment of large covered animal dishes from Westmoreland's animal kingdom in the hard to find Antique Blue color. Several of these animals rest on Westmoreland's desirable 8" oval lacy base. We are offering them all with no reserve. According to Kovar, Antique Blue is a robin's egg blue opaque color, which was produced by Westmoreland Glass Company as early as 1950. Today it is hard to find in any form, especially in the large animal covered dishes. If you have been waiting to add that special dish to your collection of blue milk glass, now is the time! The mother eagle on basket nest was originally part of Challinor-Taylor's Farm Yard Assortment from the last part of the 19 th century. Measuring 7-7/8" long and 6-3/8" wide, she stands 6-3/8" tall. This is Westmoreland's version in Antique Blue on a lacy base. This piece is in pristine condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs on either lid or base. Mother Eagle still retains her original factory brown glass read more
