Welcome to my auction! I think you'll really like the Carnival Glass I bought yesterday. I'll be listing it all asap, please check my other auctions. This auction is for a Blue Opalescent Carnival Glass Vase. This is the "Corinth" pattern made by the Westmoreland Glass Company in the early 1900's. It is unmarked. You can reference this pattern in the Standard Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass, 9th Edition on page 63. This is an awesome Vase! These colors are just amazing - Westmoreland's Blue Opalescent is one of my favorite color combinations. This JIP Vase is 9 1/2" tall. It has 12 ribs and a gorgeous butterscotch iridescence on the top 1/3 of the Vase. It looks shiny everyw, except the JIP part of the Vase, which has an elegant satiny finish. It has a straw mark in the base, you can feel it on the outside. Some of the scallops on top are a little flatter than usual. They feel completely smooth. Since I don't know the history of this Vase, I don't know if they were made like that during manufacturing, or if they have been buffed. They appear to have the same shiny finish as the other scallops, so it was probably done during manufacturing. I see a couple of teeny places of iridescence loss in the satiny part - No chips, cracks or repairs. Please see all of the pictures - Enjoy~ Check out my other items ! Payment is expected within 10 days; unless other arrangements are made, items will be re-listed. Payment methods accepted: Paypal Money Order Personal Check - held 7 days Priority Mail is $8.75 Thank You!
