West highland Terrier Dog marionette puppet handmade in Staffordshire to our own unique designs, using high quality recycled materials. Each puppet is hand carved and painted so they are all completely individual and as we are a small company we only make a few of each type of animal and bird puppet each year. The Westy marionette is 12"/33cm from nose to tail, 9"/23cm tall and hangs 30"/75cm from control to floor. It is hand carved from high quality recycled birch ply, this is a very stable wood that does not move or warp. He is then painted with acrylics and finished with a matt varnish for extra strength. The Westy's legs, shoulder and jaw have traditional wooden joints. The neck and tail are bead and flexible wire jointed for extra movement. The control is made from recycled hardwood, you twist the control to walk the Westy, or you can lift one leg at a time to paw the ground or beg. The head control is a separate bar which you lift and dip to move the head and flip a string to bark. The Westy is a very easy puppet to work and full operating instructions will be sent with the puppet. All models are sent with insurance and need to be signed for.
