Wheelwright Shop, New Orleans, La. - Late 1800s Description This old cabinet photograph showing a group of wheelwrights in front of their shop in New Orleans, La. during the late 1880s, is in fair condition. The picture is a faded and yellowed with light scratches and edge wear. T is a sign on the building in the background that some letters can be distinguished on but I can not make out the full name. This photograph is clearer and sharper than shown in my scan of it. The heavy cardboard backing has corner and edge wear with creasing and heavy yellowing. The photo measures 4" x 5 1/2" and the backing measures 6 1/2" x 8 1/2". This historic photograph is one of several photographs showing scenes from old New Orleans that I will list this week, so please take a look at my other auctions. Buyer pays $3.00 shipping and handling plus insurance, shipping will be more for international sales. Money Orders or Personal Checks are the preferred method of payment.
