A Superbly Maintained Collection

I am selling this 2 Volume White Ace Album from my father’s estate. He started collecting United Nations stamps in 1976 and did so through 1987. This auction is for the album and all of the stamps. I scanned every stamp in the album and have the scans compiled in 20 PDF documents on the following website:

This is a nearly 100% complete mint collection from the very first 1951 UN issue through the 1987 issues. Missing is the 1955 Scott #38 UN Day Souvenir Sheet on page 9. And there are 3 unusual occurrences that I can’t explain. On pages 161, 163, and 165 my father has mounted first day covers for the three 40 th anniversary souvenir sheets instead of the actual mint souvenir sheets. So you would have to say that the actual mint souvenir sheets are missing.

Aside from the 3 mentioned occurrences, the stamps are all mint and unhinged and from my observation all in excellent condition. All of the stamps and souvenir sheets are mounted in Scott Showgard mounts. The White Ace album page numbers are 1 through 194 plus 188a for 195 total pages.

White Ace album pages are spectacular. They are heavy weight and fit a standard 3 ring binder. The White Ace binders are also quite excellent with well fitted anti-roll devices at the front and rear. If you look at the White Ace price list on the Washington Press website you will see that the cost to buy just the pages and two binders is over $250.00.

Please take the time to review the scans before bidding. The collection is being sold as-is and it is up to you to determine the value of the collection.

The physical album pages are in good condition and the two White Ace 3 ring binders are in good functioning condition with just some minor indication of wear.

Shipment will be via insured Media Mail and I will ship to the US only. The albums will be well packed with bubble wrap. Please note that if the item sells for more than $200 the USPS requires a signature at the time of delivery. Contact me if you are unable to provide a signature and I will quote UPS as an optional shipping method.

If you live in the area you can pick it up at my home and save the shipping cost. The collection has been maintained in a smoke free environment.
