White Glass w/Green Loops, Hulsebus II #296 Actual Lamp

Opaque white cased glass lamp with light green loopings in the shade and base. The lamp is made of a base white, over which is layered the green loopings and then a clear layer. This is the exact actual lamp used in Marge Hulsebus's newest book, and its number is 296. This lamp is the one pictured in the upper left of the book. In essentially flawless, new unused condition. The base is absolutely flawless and the shade is pretty close to flawless. T are 2 tiny miro flecks that can be seen in the photo of the top of the lamp shade. They are pretty much insignificant but noted for the record. They are the result of the chimney hitting the upper rim when placing the shade over it to seat the shade on the base. A common defect. The lamp dates from the late 1800's to about 1900 and I have the actual original catalogs that show similar lamps for sale at that time in Europe. Its probably Swedish or Danish. The burner is a Cosmos with a very old, clear chimney. The burner is fully intact and fully functional. About 10.5 " in overall height not including the chimney. The value estimate from the book is $400. Very, very rare lamp. This is the only one I have seen, and again, this is the actual lamp listed, described and shown in photo form in the newest book by Marge Hulsebus. This is probably the last time in our lives that one of these will be offered up for sale. Good luck and thanks for looking. DZ
