Offered is a gorgeous White Ironstone Ceres Compote. Potted by Elsmore & Forster. Reg. in 1859 This piece exhibits fine detail and deep embossing. Wonderful Maker's Stamp on bottom. Stands at 4.5" with a width of 9" across the face. Ht. of stand from base feet to neck is 2.5". Rest on four feet with a cable/twisted rope embossed base rim. Panelled stem with second rope at the neck. Smooth flared body which opens into the compote face. Very decorative with a roping of wheat , cable and large panels. This piece is with one under rim chip size of a small pinkie size which does travel into the rim. See Pic.. Very , very light fine crazing. Otherwise pristine. Gorgeous white sheen, excellent mold detail and just a hard to come by piece. Please email with any questions. Thanks so much for visiting this auction. Several questions as to the ht and width.
