Offered is this early, small White Ironstone Platter in the Twin Leaves Shape. This platter is octagon in shape and is characterized by a pattern of twin leaves that meet around the outer rim. It was produced by James Edwards in Burslem, England, and was registered on Sept. 29, 1851. It retains both a printed and impressed mark. This platter is in very nice overall condition with no chips or cracks. T are some spots of age coloring, wear on the outer edge, and utensil marks from use in the well. It measures 12 inches in length, 9 1/2 inches in width and 1 inch in height. ~ A lovely, early White Ironstone pattern ~ Please email any questions before bidding. Thank you for your interest.
