I am pleased to offer one of the finest 1st class bone china demitasse cup and saucers that was made and used onboard liners of the White Star Line. The saucer measures just over 4-1/4 inches in diameter and the cup measures 2-1/4 inches high by 2-1/4 across the opening (not counting the handle). Both are bone china and only the saucer is marked "R.N. 117214 / R.N. 324028" with dating "3/1906". The cup is not marked besides a 1/8th inch long gold brush stroke. These pieces are original and not reproductions.The condition of the saucer I rate at 9.5 / 10 as t is a very, very minor (just over 1/16th of an inch) imperfection in the rim at the 11 o'clock position when looked at straight on. I suppose technically it is a chip as when you run your finger around the rim you can feel a slight deviation. As for the visibility of this imperfection, it is ONLY NOTICEABLE AS THIS IS W T IS THE ONLY AMOUNT OF GOLD MISSING FROM THE ENTIRE RIM. Looking at this imperfection at any angle does not show any indent. Tfore this saucer maintains as close as one could get to 99.9% of it's original gold rim. T are no signs of anyone ever touching up the gold rim on this saucer. The condition of the cup I would rate as an 8.5 / 10 and it is absolutely beautiful minus a hairline crack near the handle.
