) This is a WW II vintage uniform with WW II vintage Lieutenant JuniorGrade rank insignia (manufactured by GEMSCO). I have added 15 ribbons to indicate a highly decorated WW II USN pilot. Some of the ribbons include the Navy Cross, Silver Star medal, Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, and Air Medal. It also includes the Yangtze Service ribbon as well as campaign ribbons for service in China, and other campaigns during WW II. It also has pilot's wings. The tunic is still in outstanding condition in spite of its 60 plus years. The original owner's name is stenciled inside the tunic. T is a black tag inside the tunic demonstrating that the garment is in compliance with all USN uniform regulations. It is 100% cotton. I estimate that it is at least a size 39 tunic. The second tunic is post WW II and it is a size 36 Long. This black double-breasted tunic has the sleeve devices of a Lieutenant Commander. The visor hat is marked as a size 7 and 3/8. It has the WW II vintage wicker frame construction and a leather visor. It was manufactured by the Naval Uniform Service. This hat could be worn with either the white or the black uniforms.
