This is a great pipe that has been totally reconditioned and sanitized. This pipe is ready for smoking. I reamed the chamber and sanitized the chamber and shank interior using 95% consumable alcohol. This process removes any of the tars, and nicotine that was bound in the chamber cake. The draft hole is free from obstruction and the stem airway is obstruction free. There are no cracks in the bowl, the shank or the stem. The mortise and tenon are in great shape and fit snug. I cleaned and polish the stinger on the tenon. The vulcanite stem has been cleaned inside & out, sanitized and polished. If there were ever any teeth marks on the stem, they are gone! Finially, I put many coats of carnuba wax on the pipe and polished between each coat. Aside from normal wear, which I believe to be minimal, photo #1 shows a surface crack in the cake. This is not a crack in the bowl. Photo #2 will show a small sand pit in the smooth finish section of this rusticated beauty. I enjoy restoring old briars and I recondition each one as though I was going to put the pipe in my own rotation. I am absolutely certain that you will be thrilled with this pipe.
