The Victorians had a lovely sterling serving piece for almost every type of food imaginable, and this lovely pierced lade was designed to sift powdered sugar on berries or pastries. This 5" long sifter is in the Louis XV pattern by Whiting. However, it was actually made by P. W. Ellis of Toronto. The bowl is beautifully shaped and detailed, and the pattern continues on the back of the handle. It is in extremely good condition with an ornate monogram. Shipping to US addresses is $5.
