The Whole Works of Robert Leighton, D.D., Archbishop of Glasgow. To which is prefixed, A Life of the Author, by John Norman Pearson, M.A., of Trinity College, Cambridge. New York 1851 800 p.p., 9 1/2" x 6 1/4" x 2 1/2", newly rebound in 1/4 goatskin Morocco over a new hollow tube spine with cloth covered boards, new headbands end papers and paste downs,gilt lettered and dated spine, blind lined and tooled spine. Printed in double column throughout with a appendixes index of the text of scriptures and subjects. Contents (text) generally very clean, with some very minor stains, one of which is on bottom edge which does not bleed into margin. A very fine book of Leighton's works on The First Epistle of Peter, lectures on the first nine chapters of Saint Matthew's Gospel, Sermons to the Clergy, Exposition of the Lords Prayer, Ten Commandments, theological lectures plus more, all done in a very excellent manner of 17th century Scotland.
