Offered is a 39.75 pound section of never-used heavy-duty railroad rail. As is, these make pretty handy bench anvils for many applications. Or you can modify it to make whatever kind of anvil is best for you. The section is 11-7/8 inches long, 6 inches wide at the base and about 7 inches tall. The top is a bit over 2-3/4 inches wide. The center flat spot is about 2 inches wide. This track is neatly sawed off with perfectly clean and plumb sides. The base is dead flat and there is no distortion of the piece anywhere. It's a fine heavy piece of very hard steel and will serve well as it is, or make a high-quality piece to start from if you're making your own anvil.
