Who's Who In CIA - Ein biographisches Nachschlagewerk uber Mitarbeiter der zivilien und militarischen Geheimdienstzweige der USA in 120 Staten - by Julius Mader - 1968 Who's Who In CIA - A biographical reference work on 3,000 officers of the civil and military branches of secret services of the USA in 120 countries - by Julius Mader - 1968 Published in East Germany, under Stasi auspices and probably with KGB assistance, this little book is nearly impossible to find. It even has disappeared from most US libraries. Each of the nearly 2,500 entries has a birth date and several short lines of career information. Mader apparently had access to some information on CIA officers that was not publicly available. More than once a 'new' CIA namehas surfaced in Western media that had been sitting in Mader's book all along. For the occasional investigator who is too experienced to expect easy answers, this book continues to be quite useful. This book is a must for any anyone interested in espionage or Cold War history. CIA Station Chief Richard Welch was assassinated in Greece in 1975 by the Marxist Revolutionary Organization 17 November (17N). Welch had previously been outed as a CIA operative in Who's Who In CIA. His assassination eventually led to the Intelligence Identities Protection Act. Many famous people are listed in this book, including Bill Moyers, Lyndon Johnson, Robert McNamara, and others. A copy of this book has been on display at the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC. This is a rare original book - Who's Who In CIA by Julius Mader. This is the original book from 1968 written in German, and includes the even more rare dust cover. Book has light wear to cover and dust cover, and a couple minor creases along the edge. Includes original fold-out diagrams and postcard inserts. This is a nice example of a very rare book. View Similar ItemsMore Items from eBay
