You are purchasing two rare pieces of work by Swedish Artists Wibeke Beck-Friis Frisk. � Beloved Swedish artist and close friend to Swedish Royal, Princess Lilian. Born in Stockholm 1916 and died in 2008. Her works can be found in the National Museum of Stockholm. Bathe attended art school in Munich and Lausanne. Her work is bold, alluring and daring. These two piece offered today compliment each other. Herrmotion Man in Motion) Dammotion (Woman in Motion) Both believed to be completed in the 1960's. Her signature is embroidered into the get (her initials). Made of felted wool, these two pieces are a delight to view. There is considerable damage to the edges of the felted "canvas" or background, yet the main subjects on each piece are intact, and these can be easily displayed in new frames professional mounted and preserved. A rare find are these two pieces. These are being sold as a pair at no reserve. 35.5" tall by 26" wide. Very unique 3d technique of appliqué onto a felted background. On the reverse you can see each individual stitch used to appliqué the figure pieces. You are buying these as a pair, AS IS.
