This limited-edition Wizard of Oz collector's plate from the Portraits from Oz Plate Collection and The Hamilton Collection, is entitled "The Wicked Witch of the West." The plate number is 4203A. From the certificate of authenticity: The Hamilton Collection, in association with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Turner Entertainment Co. certifies that this fine porcelain collector plate, with its Yellow Brick Road border design of 23K gold, has been created by art master Thomas Blackshear as a life-like tribute to one of the most beloved characters from the 1939 classic movie, "The Wizard of Oz." Furthermore, this document warrants that the accompanying plate is part of an edition limited to a total of 14 firing days. The box from The Hamilton Collection was just opened for the first time today so that I could photograph the contents. Prior to that, it had been factory-sealed since I bought it. Included: the beautful collector plate, the original Certificate of Authenticity and a Record of Acquisition. All of the contents are in mint condition. The plate has a 23K gold rim and has a diameter of 8 1/2 inches. Any glare that is visible on the attached photos is from the camera reflection. T is no such marking on the plate itself.
