Up for sale here is a nice example of a Wilde Tool M1905 full length 16" bayonet for the M1 Garand rifle. This bayonet is marked WT over US over 1943, with the flaming ordnance bomb between the U and the S. Also, as shown in pictures, a smaller 'WT' is marked on the crossguard. Also, curiously, there is a "139" stamped on the obverse side of the ricasso. I have not been able to determine how this originated, but I have not seen this type of marking on any of my other Wilde bayonets. I have owned this since 2001. As shown, blade does not appear to have been sharpened but does show some use. Please see pictures for idea of blade condition. I took several shots from multiple angles. The grips exhibit the proper reddish brown coloring with black flecks, with the black square at center. Everything is tight, and functional. There is a small nick in the blade, which I have also attempted to show in photos. No Scabbard . Thank you for looking. This will be a buy-it-now, or best offer.
