An exquisite earthenware vase from the Arts and Crafts era, circa 1900. This vase was designed by Frederick Rhead for Wileman and Co. of the Foley (England) pottery group, in the "Intarsio" line, and has a motif that is referred to as "Medieval Ladies." Vase itself has a tapering form, with a blue sky, reddish-brown brick bridge, and colorful costumes on the procession of ladies passing by against an outline of a village or city. Lower portion of vase features lovely irises in full bloom. Truly a wonderful example of art pottery from this time period. Vase number 3343, Rd 380374.Dimensions: 5.5" W x 11.0" H x 3.25" D
