A really great looking ORIGINAL LOBBY CARD from the 1924 Paramount Pictures Western saga..."Singer Jim McKee". This is one of those unfortunate silent film titles that has apparently slipped into the cracks of motion picture history. A few years back there was a complete print of this film that was housed inside a restoration house. For an unknown reason two-thirds of the film was destroyed so there are just a few of the seven reels of this film in existence. Hopefully, someday, the rest of this one will turn up in someones closet, basement or under the font steps of a abandened delapadated house...it's happened before! Hart's character is that of a singing miner named Jim McKee. His best pal Buck Holden [Gordon Russell], a miner as well, is feeling the pressure of raising his daughter Mary played by Phyllis Haver. The two are not very successful at mining and so they make the decision to disguise themselves as bandits and hold-up the local stagecoach. The sheriff is there and kills Buck as Jim and Mary escape. Fifteen years later a more adult Mary, still under Jim's roof finds herself in love with her savior and soon the two are married.
