William Henry Knives weaves a remarkable story in each knife – the Da Vinci Collection offers one of the most memorable tales of all. Stainless Damascus and mokume are complemented by fossil walrus ivory and accents in 18K gold and diamonds. Every aspect of this knife is distinctive and precious. The blade is built from stainless Damascus steel forged by Mike Norris. This pattern, called Ribbon Lace, is one of the most difficult to achieve. No two blades show the same pattern, and each has its own nuance and story. The Damascus is exceptionally wear resistant, and takes and holds a very fine edge. The frame is built from mokume gane hand-forged by Mike Sakmar. A remarkable tapestry woven from multiple layers of copper, nickel silver, and brass, this material is so complex that no two pieces ever emerge with the same pattern.
