This is a William Henry Kestrel knife, just the right size to carry every day and not really notice it.The frame is titanium and the scales are desert ironwood (one of the hardest woods on earth, according to the blurb). The blade is black DLC coated ZDP-189 steel. The one-hand button and thumb stud are set with citrines, a topaz-like stone that looks great with the ironwood scales.I used this knife regularly for over a year -- just to open mail -- so there is some wear, but the mechanism is rock-solid and it is a beautiful knife. My work sent me to NYC where the knife laws are confusing, so I don't carry a locking knife anymore. I got this particular knife because it looked like a smaller, way fancier version of a Buck knife my dad got me when I was a kid.In addition to being a good-looking knife you can actually use instead of just leaving in a safe, it is lucky. I won the money to buy this knife while I was working in London. I'm a statistician, and bet on the Grand National steeplechase to prove a point about odds to my coworkers. I picked the winner and the third-place finisher with three bets, and won over $2,000, so I bought this knife, something I wouldn't have bought for myself otherwise.
